Understanding cleansing and coat care

This general care information is based on veterinary references and helps you understand product directions. It does not replace a specific product’s label or veterinary advice.

Fragrance is a sensory experience

Fragrance intensity or duration does not indicate how clean the coat is, whether the skin is healthy or whether a product is safer. Fragrance-duration claims require appropriate testing on that specific product.

Before you begin

Choose a product intended for the animal’s species and follow its current packaging directions.

Rinse rinse-off products thoroughly; shampoo or conditioner residue may cause irritation.

Bathing frequency depends on species, age, lifestyle, coat type and skin condition. Seek veterinary guidance for skin problems.

If redness, itching or other unusual signs persist after use, stop using the product, rinse thoroughly and consult a veterinarian.

Understanding ingredient roles

The groups below describe common ingredient roles in cleansing and coat-care formulas. They do not establish the concentration, performance, safety or individual suitability of any TIANWANG product.

Surfactants

In cleansing formulas, these ingredients typically help water remove dirt and excess oil from fur. Cleansing performance and mildness depend on the complete formula and how it is used.

Coat-conditioning ingredients

In conditioners, these ingredients typically improve slip and ease of brushing. That general role does not prove a specific product repairs hair structure or reduces shedding.

Formula-structure ingredients

Thickeners, stabilisers and pH adjusters help give a product its form. An ingredient name on the label alone does not prove a therapeutic effect.

Fragrances and extracts

Fragrance provides a scent experience. Ingredient names alone do not establish medical effects, low allergenicity or fragrance duration.

Frequently asked questions

Does a stronger scent mean a cleaner coat?

No. Cleansing removes dirt and excess oil. Scent is a separate sensory signal and cannot tell you whether the skin is healthy.

How often should pets be bathed?

There is no fixed schedule for every pet. For dogs, consider lifestyle, coat and health. Most healthy adult cats rarely need bathing. Ask a veterinarian if frequent bathing is needed or there are skin problems.

Why is thorough rinsing essential?

Veterinary references identify shampoo residue as a common source of irritation. Rinse rinse-off products until no residue remains, following the current packaging directions.

Can conditioner replace shampoo?

No. Shampoo and conditioner serve different steps. Conditioner 002 is used after shampooing and must be rinsed out thoroughly.

What if the skin reacts after use?

Stop using the product and rinse thoroughly. Contact a veterinarian if redness, itching or discomfort persists or worsens; do not diagnose a specific disease yourself.
